I've spent my whole life creating.
I've been writing song lyrics since I could barely write. I've been drawing, writing, painting, dancing, etc. I was a weird kid who "played" DALLAS (the TV show) and repeatedly tried to get Freddy Krueger to make a cameo in my dreams.
At 14, I fell in love with the town of Twin Peaks, and then tumbled headfirst into David Lynch's world, which led me down many parallel paths in alternative film, music, art, poetry... a world in which I always knew I belonged.
But I'm a Capricorn, and I always judged that I should play it smart. I mostly made myself stay away from art in school for fear of getting "sidetracked". I concentrated on things that would "be more responsible". I graduated from university with a degree in film studies, and then I became a professional video editor for 20+ years.
The older I get, the more I realize that my true happiness lies in creating things and spaces for people to enjoy. I'm obsessed with constantly learning new things. I now try to earn a living working for myself and never boxing myself into a corner again. I'm curious. I'm creative, and I'm determined to leave the world better than I came to it.
